Hello there, I'm so happy you're here!
I'm an American artist & illustrator living in Germany with my husband, two kids and a hound dog.
I grew up in Panama in a creative home with the jungle as our backyard. I have a heart for nature and the saturated pop of color in ginger flowers and tropical birds, along with the gentle neutral shades of our home in rainy Aachen. I get excited over unusual honey varieties, antique French tins, sharp pencils, vintage children's books, and Dutch cheese.
I studied Textile Design at RISD and earned my BFA in 2000. Since then I've worked as a graphic designer, a mural painter, and a maker of small things. I'm currently working toward a career in children's book illustration.
I would love to hear from you. For inquiries please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Flip through my Sketchbook
In my sketchbook or on loose paper I work out my ideas or go off in different directions. I enjoy experimenting with various media and usually work with pencil and gouache/watercolor. I bring my sketchbook everywhere because inspiration is truly all around & I always find a few minutes to start an idea, finish something, or just make some marks.
